I can't believe how long it has been since I've sat down to write in this space. I have been working very hard on a very special project which I can now reveal. I am so excited to announce that I am holding a Trade Show & Convention for Austalian Patchwork & Quilting Retailers in Brisbane and the gorgeous Camille Roskelley from the USA will be our special guest. Camille is a Moda designer who designs with her Mum under the Bonnie and Camille label. Myself along with PK Fabrics are very proud and excited to be bringing Camille out to Australia.
Camille will be at the trade show all weekend to meet with the retailers and promote her latest Moda range "Miss Kate" which will be released in May. Camille will also be teaching at the following stores:
FiFi's Fabricology on the Gold Coast - Tuesday 10th June
The Quilters Store & The Embroiders' Store in Brisbane - Thursday 12th June
Quiltsmith in Sydney - Saturday 14th June
This is very early notification so you can contact each store and let them know you are interested in doing a class with Camille and they will put you on their "expressions of interest" list and let you know when they have all of the details confirmed.....you heard it first here!
If you are involved in the Patchwork & Quilting industry on a wholesale level then you won't want to miss this:
Market Trends will be held at the Hometurn Room at Doomben Racecourse, 75 Hampton St, Ascot Qld. I have been so busy trying to organise this event and I'm very excited to bring such great Australian distributers together and promote their fabric lines. I have many things planned for the weekend. As I'm travelling to Quilt Market in Pittsburgh USA in May, I will be bringing back photos and ideas of all the latest trends in fabric design as well as the latest marketing and display ideas. The convention section of the trade show is important to me as education is the secret to success! I want to ensure that the education/ideas that I present are relevant and helpful to the retailers in our industry, so I will be spending many hours slaving over the laptop, ensuring that I will be presenting a program of lectures that will be inspiring and helpful in sustaining and growing our industry.
More information and online booking facility will be available very soon! For equiries on the trade show you can email me at: [email protected]
I will be back soon with more information.
Take care,
Di
