The weather here in Brisbane has been unusually cold this winter. This moring is was only 2.7 degrees C and as my home is an Old Queenslander, and has polished wooden floors throughout, it was freezing! Once the sun is up, it's often warmer outside than inside, and I often sneek out onto the front deck to have a cup of tea and warm up.
As I don't cope with the cold very well, I'm am longing for Spring. Yesterday I went to my local farmers markets and there were bursts of colour everywhere in the flower section, which made me think of the warmer weather that is only a few weeks away......please be only a few weeks away!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend :)
I have been wanting to check out the Sydney Flower Market for ages and a couple of weeks ago I finally got the chance. It was everything I thought it would be ...and more. I was in heaven! We were limited for time so I was manic mode and I have to thank my partner who followed me around as I raced like a mad woman from one end to the other, checking out prices and quality and trying to quickly decide on what to buy.
I only managed to snap a few pics as time was short but I was thrilled with what I found and it worked perfectly for the occassion.
Have a great weekend.....Di
My weekend so far has consisted of activities that are at opposite sides of the field...so to speak. I'm suffering with a cold and really not feeling like doing anything much but Luke decided to go back to Rugby this weekend so I spent a couple of hours sitting on the sidelines watching his game:
It was rough...it was brutal. I cringe everytime there's a big hit. It rained, it was muddy.
At home drinking lots of this:
It was soothing, refreshing and comforting.
And to cheer myself up...I bought these:
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Take care.....Di
